Storm door & front door trim paint

Post by Northeaster »

Does anyone know what kind of storm door is approved for Fairfield?
Also I have peeling paint on front door jamb that I'd like to touch up.
Does anyone know the paint color and manufacturer?

I don't think an approved list has ever been compiled yet, try emailing Mattia Ruyter for the approval application. I used an Andersen 3000 series fullview door with etched glass and nickel hardware (brass just doesn't last under these salty conditions). A 36"x80" fit perfectly, it looks classy and helps protect the main door from rust out. The paint that you seek is Sherwin Williams Duration gloss super white 6403-61317. There is also an oil base primer 6403-25833, this is the only approved paint as per a letter we recieved from Excel some time ago. I do remember this paint being on the expensive side but it is easy to work with and holding up well. Good luck with your repairs and upgrades.
